Monsters Inked Finalists - YOU Choose the Winner! Posted by Roary Scrawl on March 24, 2009

Thanks to everybody who entered the Create Your Own Moshling Competition. The drawings were all fangtastic! Here are the Top 25 Moshling Creations that the judges have hand-picked for your voting enjoyment.

* Anybody who votes repeatedly for themselves risks disqualification

These winning Moshling Creations will be featured at the Monsters Inked art exhibit in London from April 8th through the 19th. But only ONE will be made into an ACTUAL MOSHLING that will appear in Moshi Monsters. The winner will also have their artwork framed and hung at the Monsters Inked exhibit in London alongside some of the top monster illustrators in the world.

The remaining 24 winners will have their artwork included in a montage which will hang at the Monsters Inked exhibit and will receive a Rox prize.

Now it's your turn. Take your time to look through the gallery then vote for your favorite Moshling Creation.

they were all good and it was hard choice but I think Hornadoodle was the handsdown best choice. Great job xraychick. Your moshliing was very imaginative and different. Good luck to you!!!!!!!

This is gonna be a tough choice, I can't decide who to go for!?!
Some a very cute (hotdiggetydog & Peep) but then others have really got some great artist skills (Like liberty or the penguin one) or should I pick the one that looks the most like a monster?

Brilliant moshlings each and every one of you should be very proud! Best of luck to all, I’ve voted and it sure wasn’t easy but some are so unique it helped me make my choice. Well even though there are beautiful sketches such as Flutter, Liberty and Mr. Wacky, you've got to look at the IDEA of the moshlings aswell as the artwork. They're all amazing. Some drawings more detailed and intricate than others. But I'm sure just as much work went into them all. I enjoy art and I'm a pretty good artist myself (I hope that doesn't make me sound horrendeously big-headed) so I understand that some talented artists can create the look of detail within minutes. I can. So don't just look at the drawings, look at the names and ideas too. My favourite is Sharpy, which is both excellently drawn and creative. Plus, I like pencils, they're the ultimate writing utensil. You can't rub out a pen (unless it's a special pen)!

I like the fact that we can click on the monsters picture too and see the owners age as well. I voted for one thats 9 and it's amazing unique too, made me want to eat the ears as they look a bit like candy corn.

Everyone should vote for the one they can see as a moshling, not the one that is cute or drawn good. That is what the contest is, creating a moshling, not just voting on a picture that looks nice.

I'm so sad because the Moshling I drew wasn't picked.. we did a rush to scan it before the deadline comes and all those hard things we did were gone... The moshling I drew shouldv'e been my dream come true.. Awwww... i'll vote for a moshling who was picked instead..

All the Moshling designs are fantastic but I think Chibbi by alecdp looks a wonderful character, he makes me smile just looking at him, I'm sure he'd get up to all sorts of mischief...

Congrats to the winners--I just wish that the rules had been clarified that the contest was going to be limited to the "children" (as per the Guardian article's titling). Then I probably wouldn't have entered.

I know liberty and oobla are well drawn but try to choose the one that looks like a moshling I loved chaching he could be a real moshling
I have to admit hot diggety dog does not look like a moshling much neither does trufflz trufflz is a dog
my advice look at them as if they were in you room and figure out if they would really be good moshlings

Please vote for hot diggety dog. He is really cute and the reason I drew him was because I could definitely thinkof having that sort of moshling in my room. And to those who don't think he is cute well that's your opinion but it got chosen so it must be cute enough.

I'm sorry, but I personally don't think that these are creative. Besides, if they're going to be hung at an exhibition and there is a moshling of a table then that's plain ridiculous. And it is an art contest. I don't mind if it isn't done by a magnificent drawer with shading etc. but we don't want pictures by two-year-olds either.

I didn't get my entry in in time, but I guess I'll go ahead and say what it was.
A moose magician moshling.
With a tuxedo and a magic wand and a top hat with a bunny coming outta it. :3
Maybe after the whole competition is over they'll consider making this one...eh? lol
